I’ll help through this process, tailoring each step to your unique needs and circumstances. My approach to Health Anxiety Therapy comes from a place of understanding and support: believing that your concerns are real and helping you work through the anxiety to find calmness and peace.
A: Sessions include talk therapy as well as homework. We begin with an examination of your anxiety as well as a review of your symptoms and medical evaluations. We proceed to explore potential causes from your past and then talk about how those past experiences play a role in your anxiety today. We will talk about the meaning of your symptoms and you’ll learn to disconnect the anxiety from body sensations. Lastly, we will use various techniques to reduce or remove your anxiety like Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) or neurofeedback-guided meditation.
Your time in therapy varies based on your individual needs and circumstances. I am committed to helping you feel better as soon as possible using a variety of therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and eye movement therapies like ART which allow for healing in a shorter amount of time.
